Trapped in a body that gives no hope

With no soul to give it light

I find no point in going on

Of my path I have lost sight

There was a time when I knew my place

And I knew how things would go

But then the veil dropped from my eyes

And my thoughts refused to flow

Time, that precious element

That exists for all and none

Is all I have it seems right now

As I wait for my time to run
