It’s my nature to not want to wait
But God says “my timing, don’t contemplate”
“Don’t dwell on the subject or envy other’s I’ve blessed”
“Save yourself the heartache and wait for the best”
It takes all my strength to get through a day
And during every spare moment I stop to pray
God give me the patience to wait for your time
And please stop the pain that plagues body and mind
Don’t let this desire get in the way
Of serving you and others today
So while I wait, prepare my heart, soul and mind
For that special day when you send me my Mr. Right
