"Ok everyone." Marie called the next day, "before we start the days activities I just have a little documentation that I would greatly appreciate if you signed." She held up a sheet. Other counselors were currently handing out similar sheets to everyone else. Trent who had oh so casually placed himself next to Olivia laughed. The reason why is still unknown.
"When Olivia read the sheet she soon came to realize that it was an abstinence pledge while they were here at camp. Trent snorted when he read his.
"Don't worry Olivia. We won't got THAT far." He winked. She gagged.
"I know this must be hard for some of you but I would appreciate it if you would keep your raging hormones to yourselves." Marie gave a stern look towards a group of giggling guys.
After all the forms were signed, (despite some protests from both girls and guys,) and collected Olivia went over to the bulletin board that held everyone's activities for the day.
Today was arts and crafts.
Olivia was planning the ways she could turn a Popsicle stick into a weapon and stab Trent. She looked around for the moron only to see him leaning against a tree talking to two girls.
What a manwhore
Olivia walked up behind him grabbed a handful of his dirty blonde hair and pulled him away.
"Come on partner we're gonna make some pretty crafts."
"Ow ow ow ow OW! Let go you crazy-" Olivia cut him off before he could finish with that naughty word.
"Look here you. I didn't ask to be your partner and I'm sure you didn't want to be mine but we have to get over that and just try to get through the summer with out tearing each other apart!" She stood on her tiptoes to try to reach his eye level. She was still some ways off but she was still intimidating.
No teenage guy really wants to get the crap kicked out of him by a short skinny brunette who looks like she could barely lift a twig. But Olivia had a pretty good right hook. Her father had shown her how to fight for self-defense. But that was before the accident.
"Oh really?" Trent lifted his eyebrows in question. "Are you going to tear me apart Liv? I know your mad about me but don't worry there is enough of me to go around."
Olivia let out a cry of disgust and stormed away. If he didn't want to make a nice Popsicle stick souvenir then that was fine with her. He could go home Popsicle-less.
Trent ran after chuckling. "Hey, I was just kidding. I'm not a real bad guy once you get to know me." Olivia snorted at that. It might not have been lady like but what did she care. She wasn't out to impress anyone especially Trent Howards.
"No, I'm serious. I'm not a bad person. To prove it I will be on my best behavior." He held his had up like a Boy Scout. "I swear. And if I try anything funny I give you permission to tell that idiot…um I mean Jason" He said his name through gritted teeth, "and he can try to beat me up again. Not that he did that great of a job last time. Dude hits like a girl."
Olivia glared at him. He was really testing her patience. She didn't have much. Noticing her glare Trent smiled sheepishly.
"Um. Sorry." He rubbed the back of his neck averting his gaze from her burning one. "Where are we going now?"
"Arts. And. Crafts."She said slowly while turning and slowly walking away. Trent, not wanting to make her even more angry followed quietly behind.
After Olivia made a very beautiful Popsicle stick birdcage for Delilah's pet canary sapphire, and Trent's attempt at an ashtray, which turned more into a blob of sticks and glue, it was time for lunch. Olivia tracked down Sasha. Who in fact was walking with John away from the campfire area where one of the counselors had a story telling activity. Basically all they did was tell stories about the local area and folklore. Boring.
Olivia couldn't tell what John and Sasha had been talking about (arguing) but seeing as how Sasha was blushing deep red Olivia could tell that John had been saying some insulting things.
"Hey!" Olivia greeted Sasha. She replied with a small hello and kept her face down letting her mousy brown hair cover the deep scarlet that was spread across her cheeks. "What did you say to her?!" Olivia demanded glaring at john.
"WHY THE HELL DO YOU BLAME ME!?" John threw his hands up in the air in frustration. "How do you know it was me that made her freakin cry?"
Sasha threw her head up. "Shut up." She hissed at him. He seemed slightly taken aback but recovered.
"Listen you can't let people push you around like that." His voice softened for a bit but became harsh again. "Don't be a wimp!"
Olivia kicked him in the shin. "God you're such a jerk!" she screamed the same time John screamed "Why does everyone kick me there?!"
Olivia Put her arm around Sasha's shoulder and pulled her away to the mess hall. She asked Sasha if she wanted to talk about it but she shook her head. As they walked away Olivia could faintly here Trent laughing at John then what sounded like a fight.
XxX
After lunch and after both had changed into gym clothes Trent followed like a puppy quietly behind Olivia again towards a basketball court. One of the many sports they would have to play with other campers.
Let's discuss something about Olivia. She was never an athletic girl. She couldn't catch a ball, throw a ball, hit a ball, let alone manage to get a big orange ball though a hoop. Luckily Trent was the athletic one and he could take care of winning while she just hung back.
When they got to the court there were a couple there already. A blonde girl who looked just like what you'd imagine a cheerleader to look like and some other guy who looked like he had a much better place to be like reading a comic book some where. What he was doing out in the fresh air she didn't know, but the guy kinda creeped her out.
"Hi there!" the blonde greeted with enthusiasm She shook hands with Trent smiling brightly at him.
Oh yeah Olivia thought She so wants him.
For some reason the thought kinda made her ticked.
Trent grinned back and introduced him and Olivia to the two people who were named Tracy and Geoff. Tracy, Olivia noticed, was not subtly checking Trent out. She was full out examining him, obviously liking what she saw.
The whole game was basically filled with Olivia and Geoff standing off to the side while Trent and Tracy battled it out with a basketball. And there was obvious flirting going on! Olivia couldn't stand it! Tracy giggling and Trent flexing his muscles.
"Oh Trent! Wow! You must work out a lot muscle man!" she would comment as she felt his biceps.
It was absolutely sickening.
After Trent had won the game and after him and Tracy talked it up Olivia stalked away back to find Sasha who should have been done with the cooking class. Olivia didn't want to talk to Trent.
Later she fumed inside her cabin.
"I can't believe him! How could he just flirt with her like that right in front of me!" Sasha was still not really listening. "it was just gross! She was basically asking for it! She was throwing herself at him! And by god you could tell he was enjoying it! He's nothing but a womanizing puke! I mean it was like he had no self-dignity at all! Right in front of me!!!! Jeez."
Olivia fell face forward onto her bed burying her head in her pillow.
"Sounds to me that you like this guy." Red spoke up from across the room. She had been bored and listened in on Olivia's rant.
"That's ridiculous. He's an arrogant jerk! He's a pig and cocky. Why would I like him?" Olivia demanded lifting her head from the pillow.
"Well, I've seen him. And he has a really hot body! With a body like that who cares about his personality!" Red laughed.
She has a point. He does have a really hot body.
Olivia wasn't even going to bother arguing with herself. It was a losing battle. Olivia really hated the guy. But you know. There was nothing wrong with having a make out buddy when you're bored at camp.
A/N: hee hee! I love that! Anyone ever had a make out buddy? Comeon. Be honest!!!! Ha ha. Tried to make this chapter a little bit longer. The whole camp part isn't going to be as detailed because it's not as important. Not going to really last long. It's all about when they get home when this story will become a lot more intricate and detailed…I hope. Lol REVIEW!
