Black & White

Despite what you are spoon-fed and whispered, the world is black and white.

Take away all the frivolous pettiness and it comes down to wrong and right.

This isn’t a game of who can come out on top with the best lie,

this is life, and it is passing you by.

I’ll try to save you all, I will;

Even though your heads with lies I know they will fill.

So take a breath, deeply inhale,

the sound and vision of just one more tale.

It starts with a boy, happy and carefree,

only wanted attention from you or from me.

It ends in a war, the greatest one yet,

this will be a war that even you cannot brush off and forget.

So I’m telling you now this idea you have of gray and irresponsibility,

is really just the black blinding you into obscurity.
