Sight

Do you see what I see?

Is my green your green?

Do we all like the same color?

Just call it different names?

What if the sky were red

The ocean green, the grass orange

Do you see the world as I do?

Is what I see what you see?

There are millions of pairs of eyes

They cannot all see the same

Colors vary; they are brilliant

But forever changing and shifting

Perhaps the sky is this

Color called blue or gray

A word cannot simply describe

The significance of color and sight

Imagine the world in reverse

Blue is green, green is blue

Yellow is purple, purple is yellow

The colors all askew

So do you see what I see?

Do the colors paint for you

The scenes I see

Through my own two eyes?
