Waves of Silence
The wind whispered as it rushed by my ear
Like none other, the sweet sound of winter silence
To which I see the icy waves, but don’t fear
The white snow and cool air are in alliance
The houses ripple and sway, the snow
Muffling the sounds normally heard
I hear the crack of ice falling
It fell to my left so I turned
And exhaled and thought about this season
Where houses lay in tiny rows
Of land like a blanket, bereft of reason
Where the wave will stop, no one knows
