A world without limits. Few dream of it; many more experience it. This is the Netherworld, where souls who do not reach Heaven or Hell live out their days. Here there is only one rule: leaving the city is forbidden. With no other laws to abide by, chaos runs rampant. The inhabitants of the underworld are deterred from leaving the city by an army of demons; the Kinslayers. Stories of the world outside seldom reach the ears of those inside, but life free from terror and cruel reign are dreamed of by all. In this world, humans are not alone; they share their existence with the Felons. The Felons are a race of human-like cats, with physical and mental capabilities vastly superior to the humans, though still inferior to the Kinslayers. This is the story of Marika; a young Felon who has spent years within the city, dreaming of freedom, but never striving for it.
