Saving face and losing grace,
I mark my place and hope…
Hope…

I’ll be able to find it again.

It is not often that I find
a touch that overcomes
my senses…
like a fantasy
mirroring reality.

Or you
showing me
exactly what
I wish to
see.

Exactly what
I wish
could be.

You slip into my dream,
and weave a web
so perfectly.
I’m caught.

I’m wrapped up
in your smile,
in your eyes,
in the story
you whisper
so beautifully.

And when the
“light through yonder
window breaks”
you fade away.

My creation of
imagination.
Illusion.

Come back to me.
