Historical events date back to the time

When I was yours and you were mine

But those times have long since gone

And for many reasons, it all went horribly wrong

Like in the world battles, there were many wars

Which set off bombs in my heart and yours

There were also others to give us temptation

And when we found out, between us there was segregation

We wrote important documents to reach each others heart

Not like the declaration, but like poems so we wouldn't fade apart

But our love just couldn't seem to last

Just like the reign of Hitler in the past

Now we hardly speak or talk

Like a simple solemn sinner's walk

I wish I could have spoke of how our love was true

But almost everything in history is pretty blue
