I wish I had wings

so I could escape all these horrible things.

Just fly away,

save it all for another day.

'Till I'm ready to face it all.

When I'm ready I'll give you a call.

--

Oh I wish I had wings,

I'd sore skyward where the bird sings.

Jump over the clouds,

No hustle, bustle and crowds.

Give me a meadow; green

Give me a river; clean

Give me some trees; swaying

Give me some tadpoles; playing

Give me some space

let me work it out in my pace.

I'd land, wriggle my toes in the shore,

Cleanse my soul; in peace no longer sore.

Look to the Sky,

Smile and sigh..

--

Oh I wish I had wings,

So I could escape to those

lovely things.

Just fly away,

Forever and a day.

'Till I'm ready to face it all.

When I'm ready I'll give you a call.

--

Oh I wish I had wings..

I wish I had wings

so I could escape all the horrible things.

Just fly away,

save it all for another day.

Oh I wish I had wings,

Oh I wish I had wings,

I wish I could do more than sing...
