Until the End

Clarity comes just before life departs—
one last breath, a whisper reminisced:
In the end we have only what we had to start.

Speeding through this course we are a part
Blinded by the finish, regretting what was missed,
Clarity comes just before life departs.

A hollow shell stuffed to sound smart,
Only to learn too late, the final twist:
In the end we have only what we had to start.

To desensitized masses, feeling becomes the art
Strong emotions the frail choose to resist
Clarity comes just before life departs.

Too proud, in the silence we fall apart,
wrapped in words unspoken, we cease to exist.
In the end we have only what we had to start.

In the end remains only the heart,
whose good intentions not to be dismissed.
Clarity comes just before life departs;
in the end we have only what we had to start.
