The Same Old Me
.wonder
Oh how change can come so fast
Oh how quickly the present can become the past
In just a flash, we don't seem to know each other anymore
Can't we just go back to how we were before?
--
All I want to say is I'm sorry for the mistake I made
But will that mistake make our friendship fade?
You think that I'm not the same person you knew
I admit, I have secrets you don't know, but only a few
--
I'm still the same person you talk to in the corridor
I'm still the 'old' me, you're looking for
Still the person who smiles when he sees you
Still the same person who's hoping you would smile back too
--
Right now, my mind is filled with regret
I know that someone breaking your trust is hard to forget
But I wrote this for you to see
That I am still the same old me
