Crying

A tear pools at the edge of my eye.

I wish I knew why I was crying,

But now my tears are just running on their own.

I would like to reply to the people who ask, “Why are you crying?”

I want to say something noble, like “for every soldiers being lost the as my tear falls,”

Or something smart, such as “because salt water is gathering enough weight to fall down my cheeks,”

But I can’t.

I don’t know why I am crying.

But none the less the tears fall until my eyes are red and puffy.

What’s the point?

I don’t think there ever was one.
