I think about you all the time

Why can’t I get you off my mind

But when I see your smiling face

My thoughts begin to race

Why can’t you just look at me

Like you look at her and see

That no matter what you do

I’ll always want to be with you

But I know that will never be

You’ll never come back to me

So why can’t I just let you go

But I can’t, not with what I know

I know your thoughts and all your dreams

I know you in and out it would seem

I know where you always go

How you drive, never slow

But all you see is a smiling face

A friend forever, if that’s the case
