Black And White

12.09.08

If everything were black and white,
Black&White&Grey…
With no emotion to go with it
You’d lose all life and meaning

mom’s old lipstick
ACE of hearts,
picnic checkered tablecloths
fire, passion, truth and d a n g e r

pumpkins carved and fire,
safety vests and sunsets
wacky, bold and energetic
juicy, deep and s.t.r.i.k.i.n.g

tennis balls and sunshine,
Smileyfaces, mustard
joyfulness and cheerful,
bright and optimistic.

lucky charms and four leaf clovers,
zucchini, frogs, and lichen
mellow, hopeful, full of life
soothing, fresh, and minty

denim jeans and water nymphs,
forget-me-nots, and windows classic
peaceful, soft, and tranquil
dancing with a steady beat

The Queen’s room, jelly, eggplant,
angry faces, thistle
proud, and regal – royal
motherly, and warmth

Without the colors of the rainbow,
You lose all depth and meaning
With black&white&grey
You’re flat and undefined.

A/N: Wrote this a few weeks ago, and I thank all my friends who helped me come up with the different colors... It was frustrating.
