I saw this coming.
Sometimes when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.
But what if…
What if life gave you something more than you can comprehend. Not lemons.
What would you make?
I looked up, dazed and absolutely unwilling to move. The clouds turned slowly into a dark muted purple, the sky pink. It seemed that sometimes, my life moved as fast as the clouds. I see a new one every time. Suddenly, my wristwatch siren blew, startling me, making my heart race. I quickly jumped to my feet and saw the scenery unfold in front of me. The rippling grass stood still for the oddest moment. My singing trees grew quiet with anticipation. The sky became a soft navy blue. The perfect scene.
"You came". A soft voice asked behind me. My heart sped out of control. I didn't turn for I once had seen what he can do.
"Yes" I said through clenched teeth. Its dark, its wet, it's not right. It's not the right time.
"I wonder what kind of human you are." He slowly ambled beside me, speculating my stance. "You aren't afraid. You aren't even like--"
"Like my mother?" I hawked.
"No…not like your mother. Like…me." he whispered, slowly tangling his fingers in my hair. My lips curled and my insides thrashed.
"Calm, love. Calm. I can save you, you know. Such a pleasant life it would be, too. All the wonders of the world to--"
"I'm not going anywhere" I cut him off again. My eyes focused on the trees that ran alongside the perimeter. The sky was slowly morphing into a dark pink.
"Oh, I see we have a rebel" his fingers shot out of my hair, making my head scream in pain. I winced and grabbed my head instinctively.
