I understand that the times are as such,
and many are spiteful and full of contempt,
but I nevertheless expect some kind of minimum display
of civility regarding these matters.

I do not mind that you find me disagreeable,
distasteful, and uncharming: the liberty is yours.
What I do find truly vile is when technology
is the Hermes of our breach.

We live in truly dangerous times when we can
sever entire relationships with a few clicks.
Buttons and pixels are the daggers and poisons
of the twenty-first century.
