This was a competetion between me an my friend. I am really starting to like this story. It is in third person (shock I know a first for me)
Prologue
The air whistled around his ears. The skin on his face was pulled back, by the force of the air. Tears streamed from his dark eyes, the floor was getting closer and closer to him, arriving too fast for him to comprehend. His brown hair flew away from his head.
“Come on,” he whispered as he fell faster, “Let this be it.” The floor pushed up against his weak body, the bones cracked as they came into contact with the hard ground. His spine snapped into two pieces. Pain shot through him only momentarily, as his ribs broke and splintered into his fragile lungs. Boom, boom, boom. His blood trickled out every cut in his skin. Boom, boom, boom, and finally his heart stopped.
The silence at the bottom of the cliff was eerie, the world stopped around his lifeless body, the wind rustled the dry leaves at the bottom of the trees nearby. The grass flowed like a green river around his limbs.
Boom, boom, boom.
His heart began again, the pain trickled through his body. His brain awoke. The bones that were once snapped in two, moved back into place. Crack, they slotted back into place, fusing together. His ribs reformed, and his lungs were healthy once again. One long breath poured into his reborn body. The cuts in his skin closed. His eyes reopened.
Pushing himself off the ground, his sigh filled the area. The dried blood that once was his covered the ground around him. His spine finished cracking into place with his hips. He walked out of the area.
His footsteps disturbed the silence, as did his monotone mutter, “Immortality sucks.”
Short and sweet. Reviews? I need to know how to improve, to imporve . . .
