Help wanted. This is the one I mention on my profile. I know the ending is awful and would like your suggestions for an alternate ending. This was inspired by the numerous youth I hear using this word and a nasty attitude to go along with it- everyday.

Never Say Shut Up
"Shut up!" said Tommy Chuckaluck
to everyone he spoke.
Listen and I'll tell you
How this habit finally broke
Tommy's baby sister cried
When Mother woke her up.
As he passed her room,
half asleep, Tommy whispered "Shut up."
Walking to the bus stop
Tommie tripped over a stump.
His buddy asked, "Are you okay?"
Tommy said, "Shut up."
"Shut up" he said to the kids at school
who asked about his frown.
"Shut up" he said to the teacher
when she told him to sit down.
When the principal had a talk with him
he would not open up
but after he left the office
Tommie mouthed, "Shut up."
"Shut up" he told a kid
He saw crying in the hall.
"Shut up" he told a poster
that was hanging on the wall
"Shut up" his attitude continued
on the bus and when he got home.
"Shut up" he told the silence
as he sat there all alone.
"Shut up" he told his brother
when asked about his day.
"Shut up" he told his sister
When he didn't get his way.
But that night karma intervened
when dad said, "Have a seat."
"Stop using that word; I'll give you anything you ask."
but Tommy couldn't speak.
