Small streets lined with
one-inch lawns and
pastel houses.

Deciduous and grey-green
brick schools and church signs
winding roads that lead you
no where.

Strip malls, those are your attractions?
White sand, well-kempt sidewalks.
Mansions like a fence to keep
off the sand dunes, children.
Don't touch that sea grass, kid.

You know, I've got fossils.
I've got sea shells.
