Children of Night
Night calls softly
To those who listen
Wings in the moonlight
Brightly glisten
Stars blink slowly
At the earth below
While the wind through the trees
Begins to blow
Silence is not golden
Like the sun
That shines uncaringly
When the day has begun
Silence is black
Like darkness, caressing
Why the night is so beautiful
I can't begin guessing
So follow me brothers
And sisters true
Let us dance again
Once the day is through
Let us soar
Through skies of black
On wings silver and blue
The night is inviting
So come, listen
To the sound of wings
That sparkle and glisten
Let us rejoice!
With voices raised
And join the Children of Night
The strong, the brave
Then wake in the morning
Wondering if it was a dream
Remember that things
Are not as they seem
Endure the day
Endure the light
For waiting for you
Is the night
Night calls softly
To those who listen
Wings in the moonlight
Brightly glisten
