TIME:
17th or 18th Century

PLACE:
England - The interior of a large manor house.

SETTING:
The stage is set to be the great room in a large manor house. The front door is located stage left and another door that leads to another room, which is never seen, is up-right. Three large columns are placed on each side of the stage. Right-center is a formal dining table with six chairs around it. Up-left there is a raise dais with a “throne” and two smaller chairs on either side. Great tapestries adorn the walls, but aside from these, the room is devoid of color.

Character Descriptions:

EMILY: A young woman about 20 yrs old. She is honey-blonde with hazel eyes. She is small but not weak. She has a steadfast determination and does not give in easily.

HUGH: A man about 27 yrs old. Twin brother of David. He is tall with brown hair and green eyes. He is powerfully built.

DAVID: A man about 27 yrs old. Twin brother of Hugh. He is tall with brown hair and green eyes. He is slightly smaller than his brother. He walks with a slight limp on his left leg.

ANNA: A young woman about 23 yrs old. She is a cousin and pseudo-sister to Emily. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is easily swayed but stubborn.

JASPER: A young man about 25 yrs old. He is the man servant and confidant of Hugh. He is exceedingly tall and slender. He has curly dark brown hair. He is agile and deathly loyal.

ROSE: A woman about 56 yrs old. She is the mother to Hugh and David. She hair is already starting to grey and she is slightly hunched over. She is on the verge of being completely insane.
