you wander through the snowy darkness,

on the most treacherous path

lost.

you think you are

alone.

in the gloom.

but

i am there

beside you.

with every

faltering step.

i weep for you

but you cannot hear me.

inside,

the demons chatter and they laugh.

i try i try to puncture through the enveloping gloom

your prison.

i try i try to be there for you in your misery.

i call your name, i scream into the void.

but you turn away, stumbling.

oh, my heart is breaking, my heart is breaking.

i want to keep you safe.

i want to save.

you.

from yourself.

i wish i could lift you

out of yourself.

i wish i was strong enough

to carry you away from your pain,

and from your need.

i wish you would realize.

i wish you could see how brightly you shine

through the ______ tarnish.

i try.

i love you.

i won't

give up

on

you.
