a sort of wildcrazy dance where we moved flawlessly
as one - better together than alone.
promising to hold on forever.

and you thought the world was our orchestra
with the wind playing the melody and the crickets
chirping a harmony to our hearts.

which was true, until you spun me wildly out of control
and no song on earth could match the syllables of our souls.
so you kissed my eyelids and promised
to write me a symphony to the stars.
