There goes the mirror again
playing at my insecurities.
The person staring back at me
tells me how useless I am.
That I’m not pretty enough,
that I’m unwanted.
It taunts me mercilessly
day and night
about how I’m a waste of air.
But you know what?
I’m done listening
to what the mirror has to say
because it is you who has caused these insecurities.
