INFINITE ABYSS
Chapter 1: Wake-up Call
Darkness. There is always darkness. Inside every living thing, is darkness. It is the crushing force, it is the doom and despair. It is the reason we loose things. Darkness is always there. It is impossible to escape. No matter who you are, no matter where you go. The darkness, will always be right there with you.
But, if I recall, where ever there is darkness, there is also something else. Light. Light can be found everywhere to. Sometimes in the smallest proportions, and sometimes, light will flood places. It is always there. So no matter how much darkness there is, there is always some light to help you pull through. It is the beckoning star, it is the help, and the happiness. It is the reason we can keep going.
The Light and The Darkness. They are bound together, by an unbreakable bound. Where ever one goes, the other follows. They must be everywhere, and they must be together. In the worst situation, there is always a small speck of light, and in the brightest celebration, there is always a small dot of darkness.
The Light and The Darkness. They are bound together, but they are always fighting. That is what The Light and Darkness do. They fight. It is impossible for these total opposites to get along. But a battle simply between to forces these strong is impossible. Their energies overflow, into all the worlds, all the universes, and the light and darkness can fight there too. They find residence in a body, in a living thing, and they fight another living thing with the opposite energy.
However, The Light and The Darkness couldn't keep this up. How many innocent would continue to fight, for them, and die. Humans, demons, angels, animals, even plants. All things would perish, in their unending war. They would be fighting a battle, that wasn't even theirs. And, in the end, they would be dying for that battle.
So The Light and The Darkness, they sent out their energy, into twelve things. Six for The Light, and Six for The Darkness. They had chosen twelve warriors, to fight in their name. However, these warriors needed to have another form. A form that would be easier to fight in, like, a human body.
So The Light and The Darkness sent their warriors to Earth, a place abundant with bodies. The warriors were to seek out people who were around the same age, and find a place in that persons soul. They would then feed of The Light, or The Darkness in the humans mind, heart, and spirit, and let their powers strengthen, before they would seek out one another.
However, things are never that easy are they? When the creatures possessed human bodies, they realised that they couldn't control the humans the way they had planned too. Human minds were a lot stronger than The Light and The Darkness had thought. So, they simply fed on The Light and The Darkness in the bodies, and let their powers gradually leak through.
Soon, some of the hosts figured out that they had powers. The humans figured out how to use their powers, and in return, the warriors whispered to them. They told them why they were blessed with such magic, and powers. They told them of the war they would be fighting. They told them of The Light and The Darkness. The warriors told their humans everything.
HOWEVER, some humans remained in the dark. Sure, the powers of the warrior leaked out, and into their bodies, but the humans were to oblivious. They continued their daily lives, as if they had no idea that they weren't your average human being. Or maybe….they really didn't have any idea.
But, it didn't matter if they had no idea, or if they knew everything, they had to gather soon, because war was coming. The Light and The Darkness were drawing them together, preparing them. It was time. Time to fight. Time to win, time to loose, time to live, time to die, time to fly, and time to fall.
So our story shall begin, with a young, insane tomboy, who goes by the name Fushia. She is one of the oblivious humans, but fate has decided, it is time for her to realise who she really is. So, she's in for a rather abrupt wake-up call.
___________________________________________________________________________________________
RINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!
Fushia growled, slamming her fist down hard on her alarm clock. It shattered, into a million tiny pieces, leaving glass, and blue and purple plastic all over her bedside table and floor. She grumbled something inaudible, and sat up, angry that she had broken yet another alarm clock. She glared at the broken pieces of clock debris, before she closed her eyes, and laid her head back down on her pillow. She was just settling back to sleep, before a thought crossed her mind.
"Wait, I don't set my alarm clock anymore, unless there's something really important on," She thought, before she gasped, sitting upright, throwing her blankets across the room. She jumped out of bed, and cursed loudly as she stood on the plastic and glass.
"ARGHHHHH, BLOODY FUCK ON TOAST!!!" Fushia yelled, sitting down on the bed, and picking glass out of feet. She didn't have time to look for a first-aid kit, so she'd have to be in pain for the rest of the day. After she'd spent five minutes doing that, she shoved on her pair of monster slippers, and charged down the stairs. Her mother was preparing a bowl of Nutri-Grain for her.
"Ahhhh, finally decided to show your face now?" Her mother joked, placing the bowl on the table, as Fushia scrambled for a spoon, though it seemed they were all in the washing up. "I was wondering when you'd get up, considering you always sleep in. Even when your starting a new school, you can't help but stay up late, and sleep in till…..well, eight twenty, on a school day."
Fushia, who had just about finished her Nutri-grain, spat it out as she heard her mother say the time. She glared at the clock, before he face changed from one of disbelief, to one of horror. It really was eight twenty, which gave her say, ten minutes to get to school.
"ARGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" she yelled again, shoving her empty bowl in the sink, before she turned, and ran upstairs. She came down again, shoving on a pair of board shorts over her boxers. She was also wearing her deep blue t-shirt, which she had worn to bed last night. She just didn't have the time to care, though she didn't actually give a damn what she wore anyway.
"Dammit, I hate starting at a new school!!" She growled, shoving a tooth brush into her mouth, as she scrubbed her teeth for about thirty seconds. She gargled and rinsed once, before she grabbed a hair brush, glared at it, and tossed it aside. She didn't have the time.
"SEE YA MUM!!" Fushia yelled, as she sprinted out the door, dragging her school bag behind her. Her mum yelled out a good bye, and good luck, as Fushia charged by the innocent people on the sidewalk. She apologised, as she knocked a few of them down, yelling back excuses. She glanced down at her watch every now and again, and swore very, very loudly when she realised that it was eight thirty two. She had exactly three minutes to get to school.
"I'M GONNA BE BLOODY LATE, ON MY FIRST FLIPPIN DAY!!!" She growled loudly, as people stared at her. Of course, these people would have no idea that they were staring at a girl. After all, with her angry, loud words, and her manly appearance, it was almost impossible to tell she was actually a girl. Not that she minded. She thought of it as a compliment when people thought she was a guy.
Fushia glanced at her watch once more, and gasped. Eight thirty four? It was already eight thirty four? She screamed out another string of profanity's as she pushed past the people on the pavement. She could see the school now though. She frowned, as she stared at its large, iron gates, and smooth, clean buildings.
Terrascore High school was a completely stupid name in her opinion. In fact, she thought of the whole school as stupid. Unfortunately, considering it was the only school in her entire district, she didn't get much choice of where she got to go. She glared at its large, iron gates, as she finally passed through them. God, she hated Terrance. Or at least, this school.
You see, Fushia had moved to the small town of Terrance about two weeks ago. Her mother had decided to move here because of her work. Fushia's mother, Magenta, worked for an anime company called Dark Drake Studios. God, why did everything have a stupid name these days? Anyway, Terrance had a small Dark Drake Studios company, unlike their last town in Sydney. So, Magenta had decided to move here, because it would make their life so much easier. Fushia didn't think it made her life easier at all. Well, mainly because Terrascore High School was only made for gifted students.
"Stupid school," She muttered, jogging quickly, as she heard the bell go off, making a high pitched buzzing noise. That would get annoying. She grumbled as she past groups of kids with friends. Another reason she was angry. She had had A LOT of friends in her old town. But now…..She was lonely, and un-hyper.
She walked through the crowded hallways, slinging her backpack over her shoulder grumpily. She squeezed past all the kids, before she realised she had no idea where she was supposed to go. She didn't know what class she was in. She didn't know who was her teacher. She didn't know anything actually. She felt her anger reach its climax.
"FUCKKKKKKKKKKKK THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. There was a sudden silence, as every single kid, teacher, and the odd parent turned to stare at her. She opened and closed her mouth for a few moments, before she put on her big, fake smile and whispered something that sounded like 'oops'.
Immediately, everyone broke out laughing. Well, almost everyone. Most of the students were finding this extremely funny. Some were leaning against the walls, cackling, and some were on the ground in tears of laughter. Even a few teachers were chuckling, however, most of those guys were looking at her disapprovingly. The parents just shook their heads, some laughing, some annoyed.
"Boy, that was hilarious," Someone yelled with laughter, patting her on the back. Fushia turned to face a black-haired girl, with tears coming out of her eyes. Fushia raised an eyebrow at her, as the girl continued to praise her for her humour, and laugh.
The girl wore a Chinese style top, like Tenten, from Naruto. It was blood red, with gold swirls, and made of satin. She also wore black, three-quarter pants, and Chinese shoes. Her smoky, shoulder-length black hair was let loose, and it hung in small wisps, framing her face. She was obviously Chinese, it wasn't to hard to guess that. Fushia just stared at her, an eye brow raised.
"Well, humour aside, who are you, I have honestly never seen you around here before?!" the girl asked, leaning on arm on Fushia's shoulder in a relaxed way, as if she had known Fushia for years, and hadn't only just met her. Fushia smirked at this, and relaxed a little.
"I'm Fushia, and I'm new around here," She explained, hoping the girl would realise she was completely and totally lost. "Um, what's your name?" She added, hoping to at least learn the name of her new friend. Well, at least she hoped this girl was her new friend. The girl chuckled, and smiled.
"I'm Chen-Chi Hyang, but friends just call me Chen!! My name means, Brilliant dawn, and I'm in year nine!!" She exclaimed brightly, before she gasped. "Oh, you're new, that's right, so you might need help!! Are you in year nine too?" Chen-Chi asked, smiling.
Fushia chuckled, before she nodded. "Yeah, I'm in year nine," She stated, smiling. It was good to have made a friend so quickly. At least she wasn't a complete loner on her first day. She was doing better than most newbie's. Chen-Chi smiled at her.
"Then I guess you're gonna be in my class!!" Chen-Chi exclaimed brightly, throwing her hands into the air. Fushia looked at her, completely confused now. Just because she was in year nine, didn't mean she was in her class.
"Um, are you sure I'm in your class?" Fushia asked, swinging her backpack around lazily, looking at her slightly confused. Chen-chi nodded quickly, before she gasped, and smacked her head with her hand.
"Oh, I'm a doodle, I can not believe I keep forgetting that you don't know things about this school!! My year nine class is the only one getting a newbie, so that's how I knew you'd be in my class!!" Chen-Chi explained, before she frowned all of a sudden. "Hey, I have a question for you…Isn't Fushia an odd name for a boy?" She asked.
Fushia burst out laughing. 'Yes, yes, yes,' She thought brightly, before she straightened herself up, still grinning like a Cheshire Cat. "I'm a girl……bit I'm a tomboy," She explained, for Chen-Chi's sake. Chen-Chi's mouth formed the shape of a giant O, and she nodded slowly, before she grinned again.
"Okay, well, everything's a lot clearer now," She said brightly, before she grabbed Fushia's free hand. The other one was still holding her backpack. "Let's take you to your new class then!!!" Chen-Chi exclaimed, before she began to drag Fushia down the less crowed hallways to a classroom. Fushia was amazed that they weren't late yet. It was eight forty, so everyone should be in class by now. It seemed that kids could take there time getting to class here.
Chen-Chi walked over to a small, blue door at the far end of the hallway, and she knocked loudly on it. There was the sound of someone's chair scrapping across the ground, before the door was wretched open. Fushia raised an eyebrow at the door opener, looking at them curiously. The person who had opened the door was a boy. He had fluffy, short blonde hair, and eyes that look like the sky outside. Which at the moment, was a beautiful, light blue, with a few small fluffy clouds. It was sort of creepy, that his eyes look exactly like the sky. He wore long, blue pants, and pale yellow t-shirt. He was average in height, and rather skinny.
"Oh, who are you?" The boy asked, looking past Chen-Chi, and at Fushia, who was whistling lazily. It took her a few seconds to realise that she was being spoken too. She chuckled sheepishly, glancing at the boy.
"I'm Fushia, Fushia Carlton," Fushia said, smiling at the boy, who was staring at her funnily. Chen-Chi whispered something to the boy about Fushia being a girl. The boy gaped at Fushia for a few more moments, before he chuckled, and walked into the classroom.
"That's Benjamin, you can call him Benny," Chen-chi said, giggling. Fushia just nodded, as she followed Chen-Chi into the classroom. However, as soon as she set foot in the classroom, she was mesmerized. Her mouth hung open, and her eyes nearly pooped out of her head.
This wasn't a classroom, unless she had just been transported to Harry potter's Herbology class. Sure, the desk's looked normal enough, but the rest of it, looked more like a jungle. The benches around the edge of the classroom were covered with pot plants. There were millions of different flowers, and bushes in each pot. Some looked like your average, house-hold plant, and some looked a little more…..exotic. There were even trees planted in large pots in the two back corners of the classroom. Vines were strung around the walls, and hanging lights. Fushia stared at everything in awe, before she noticed the teacher.
The teacher looked no older than twenty six at most. She had silky, shoulder-length green hair, and crimson red eyes. She wore loose, brown pants, and a long sleeved, emerald green shirt. She was rather tall, and slender, and she wore some rather professional looking glasses. She smiled at Fushia oddly as she stared at her, before a smirk covered her features.
"Hello, you must be the new student I was told about!! Your name is Fushia Carlton, right?" The teacher asked. Her voice was rather relaxed, and it didn't sound like most teachers old and cranky voices. Fushia just nodded, before she went back to staring around the classroom. She hadn't noticed the other students were looking at her funnily.
"Well, Fushia, welcome to my class!! I'm Miss Hanase, and I love all kinds of plants!! I'm twenty eight years old, and I'm a little too relaxed!!" Miss Hanase exclaimed brightly, standing up from her seat behind her desk. That was covered in papers and plants as well. Though, the plants on her desk looked the most exotic. "What about you Fushia, could you introduce yourself?" Miss Hanase added.
"Erm, I'm Fushia Carlton obviously!! I'm a tomboy, and I really like anime, sports, video games, and animals! I hate everything girly, and like to think of myself as a little….insane," Fushia stated, before she smiled around the classroom cheekily. She hadn't said she was a girl, but she had said she was a tomboy, which gave herself away. Pretty much every student in the classroom was staring at her, with their mouths wide open.
Miss Hanase simply clapped her hands together brightly. "Well, it's great to meet you Fushia, now, where to seat you!!!" Miss Hanase exclaimed, looking over the classroom. Finally, she turned to Fushia, chuckling. "well, considering you seem to have found a friend in Chen-Chi, you can sit next to her!!"
Fushia made a 'phew' noise, glad she was sitting next to the one friend she had made. She rushed quickly to her new seat, which was in the second row of desks. She was sitting closest to the wall, so she got a nice good view of the odd array of plants there. She noticed one plant that seemed to move a bit. Fushia sweat dropped, and looked away from it quickly, slightly freaked out by it.
"I'm so glad you got to sit next to me!!" Chen-Chi whispered brightly to Fushia, a large, honest grin on her face. Fushia smiled, and nodded at her, before she glanced around the room. She noticed Benny, who was sitting in the front row. He noticed her as well, considering he was looking back at her. He smiled and waved, and Fushia responded with a cheery, two fingered salute. She continued to glance around the classroom, looking for someone odd, or different. She was a curious person.
"Who's that?" Fushia asked Chen-Chi quietly, pointing at a girl in the back row. The girl had long, dark-purple hair, and a piercing glare. She was glaring at the white board, her hands clenched into fists. She wore a baggy, violet T-shirt, and a tight, purple skirt that went to her mid-thigh. She wore long, baggy, black pants underneath the skirt. She wore two, gauntlet-like bracelets, that had odd carvings on them. Her eyes were a deep, purple, even darker than her hair, and her pupil wasn't black. It was silver. Chen-Chi made a face, and glanced at Miss Hanase, whose back was turned because she was scrawling something onto the white board, before she took a small breath.
"That's Avai Severna, and she's really weird. She's kind of creepy, and she reminds everyone of some kind of ancient Seer. She's always talking about what's to come, and she's always talking about the good and the bad, and all that crap," Chen-Chi explained, rolling her eyes. Avai suddenly glanced at them, throwing Chen-Chi a disgusted look. Chen-Chi glared at her, and Fushia just raised an eyebrow at both of them.
"Chen-Chi, Avai, Fushia, are you listening!!???" Miss Hanase asked brightly, flipping her white board marker around with her fingers. Chen-Chi sighed, and shook her head. Avai didn't respond at all. Miss Hanase frowned at both of them, before she directed her gaze at Fushia. Fushia just sighed.
"Erm, I wasn't really listening…..I just asked Chen-Chi a question, that's all, we weren't going to chat, or anything!!" Fushia explained. She didn't want some kind of detention on her first day. Miss Hanase chuckled, before she just waved her hands, and turned back to the white board. What Fushia couldn't see, was the smirk on her teachers face.
"Good save," Chen-Chi whispered to Fushia. Fushia just smiled, and nodded. It wasn't that good a save actually, but, hey, she didn't have a detention. That was always a plus. Fushia took a risk, and glanced back at Avai. The creepy girl had gone back to staring angrily at the white board.
Suddenly, the classroom's temperature dropped a few degrees. Fushia frowned, noticing the sudden change in temperature. It had been rather warm a second ago, and suddenly, it was chilly. She noticed most of the kids rather bright faces turn into frowns. Miss Hanase had turned away from the board again, a large smile on her face. Fushia followed her gaze, and saw a boy standing in front of the door.
"Ahhhh, Kadoku, you're here!!! I'm so glad you managed to come today!!" Miss Hanase exclaimed happily. Kadoku just ignored her, walking slowly towards the back of the classroom. As he walked past Fushia's desk, he froze for a single second, glancing at her. In return, Fushia continued doing what she was doing. Which was playing her Nintendo DS under her desk. She glanced up for a moment, grinning at him, before she returned to playing Mario Kart.
Kadoku finished staring icily at her, and walked right to the back of the classroom. He sat down at a single desk, that was behind the, well, back row. He then began to do his work. He had a frown on his face the entire lesson. In fact, the whole class did. It seemed that Kadoku had somehow made the room seem a lot colder. Literally.
There are many odd things about Terrascore High School. One of them is the fact that instead of having six different classrooms, and teachers all day, you have one classroom, and one teacher. Your day is split up, sure, but you just stay in the same room, with the same teacher, studying something different every time the period changes.
After the morning, there wasn't really anything odd about Fushia's day. The first to period, in which all the odd things had occurred, had been Science. At her last school, Fushia had learnt that the best way to pass Science, was to play Mario kart all lesson. Trust me, Fushia had come third in her science class, and she hadn't even paid attention. The second period had been Japanese. It had been enjoyable. They hadn't really learnt much language, and instead, they had had a Sushi sampling lesson.
Recess had been uneventful. Fushia had simply spent it with Chen-Chi and Benny. They had decided to run races, just because they had been bored. Fushia had kicked their asses thoroughly, by the time the bell had rung. Chen-Chi, and Benny had been rather grumpy about that, and said that when they played sports, and had to pick teams, she was going to be their first choice.
Third and Fourth periods were Maths and English. Instead, Miss Hanase had decided to let them have those periods free, to relax, considering she didn't feel like doing her job. So, for the whole two hours, Fushia spent it answering questions from most of her classmates. She glanced at Miss Hanase every now and again. The teacher was wearing an odd smirk on her face, as she water some of the plants in the classroom.
Lunch was boring. Fushia simply ate stolen food. Most of the food she stole was Benny's, considering he had cooked it, and it tasted damn good. However, she did nick a fair bit of Chen-Chi's, which left the bright, Chinese girl looking very grumpy. She apologised a lot, but said that she couldn't help it. Her mother didn't have a clue when it came to cooking, and Fushia refused to eat anything that she made.
During fifth period, which was sport, Fushia had had an awesome time. They were studying boxing, and today, Miss Hanase was taking them to the Gym, to practise. The teacher brought out the punching bags, and offered around boxing gloves to those who wanted them. Fushia hadn't need to use them of course. By the end of sport, she had made her mark. Fushia was very good at P.E., and now everyone knew it.
Sixth period was what Miss Hanase called the miscellaneous period, because she always put something random there, like woodwork, or art, or history. However, today, she asked the class if they could simply read, because she was feeling rather tired. But, Miss Hanase sure didn't look tired. In fact, Miss Hanase looked wide awake, and highly alert. Fushia watched her suspiciously over the top of her Yu-Gi-Oh manga.
Miss Hanase seemed to be looking around the classroom, as she sat, with her legs crossed, and her hands under her chin. She looked like one of those creepy professors you see sometimes in T.V. shows. After further inspection, Fushia realised that Miss Hanase was actually looking at certain students in the classroom.
And she was very shocked to realise that she was one of them.
The students that Miss Hanase seemed to be looking at were Kadoku, Avai, Benny, Chen-Chi, and her, Fushia. Fushia was wondering if anyone else had noticed that Miss Hanase was looking at them funny. Chen-Chi obviously didn't. She was to busy listening to her I-pod, behind her book to notice. Benny was taking a nap, so he didn't notice either. Avai was still glaring at the white board. She was gripping onto the desks now, and she was breathing heavily. Kadoku was staring at Miss Hanase. So it seems that only Kadoku had noticed.
Fushia fidgeted awkwardly every time Miss Hanase looked at her. She held up her book in front of her face, so that Miss Hanase wouldn't be able to stare at her, with that 'victory' smirk on her face. She would peek around the book every now and again to see what Miss Hanase was doing. It was usually just smirking and staring. A harmless but incredibly creepy thing to do.
Finally, the bell rang. Fushia knew that never again in her life would she ever be glad to hear the extremely annoying buzzing sound. She stood up quickly, stuffing her book in her bag, and rushed to the door. She only turned around to wait for Chen-Chi, and Benny. Unfortunately, those two took their time getting out of the classroom. Avai walked past Fushia quickly, still glaring straight ahead. Kadoku, however, walked straight over to Fushia. He stared at her, his glare like ice. Fushia glared back at him. Suddenly, Kadoku smirked, and he walked past her.
"Fool," Was all he whispered, as he disappeared out the door. Fushia refused to look at Miss Hanase until Chen-Chi and Benny were at her side. She risked a glance, and saw that Miss Hanase was back to her normal, friendly self. She sighed, realising she was probably just being delusional.
However, the creepy feeling didn't leave her until she was safely back at home. She had walked home with Benny, since Chen-Chi lived at the opposite end of town. Benny actually lived on her street, so she could visit him whenever she felt like it. She sighed, when she waved to him, and walked inside the house quickly.
"Miss Hanase sure was creepy today," She whispered to herself, as she trudged into the living room, dumping her bag on the ground. As soon as she entered the living room, she was tackled by a little, brown haired blur.
"Hello Coco," Fushia exclaimed happily, hugging her little sister, before she jumped onto the couch, lying down. Her other sister, Felicity, had orange hair, just like her, except hers was shoulder length, and straight. She was sitting in the kitchen, eating some of her fathers cookies.
Fushia's two older brothers, Zackary and Walter were in the backyard, playing footy. One had brown hair, and one had black hair. Both of their hair was spiky.
Fushia surfed through the channels, as she thought about Miss Hanase's smirk. It was incredibly freaky, and it completely and totally unnerved her. She didn't like it one bit. Coco finally stole the remote of Fushia, and started watching Play Skool, so Fushia decided to go to her room, to think about her day.
Fushia spent the next three hours, sitting at her desk, tapping her pencil. She was so deep in thought, she didn't realise that her mother, and her father were both home. She didn't notice them calling her for dinner, until her father, Daniel, or Fred Bob as she had nicknamed him, stormed into her room.
"FUSHIA, GET YOU BUTT DOWNSTAIRS NOW!!" he yelled, before he started laughing. "Someone wants to talk to you on the phone," He explained. Fushia sighed, not even scared by her fathers fake-yelling, as she trudged down the stairs to fetch the phone. Her mother was holding it, chatting aimlessly to the person on the other end.
"Ahhhh, Fushia's here!! Okay, I'll give her the phone now!!" Fushia's mother exclaimed brightly into the receiver, before she chucked the phone through the air, for Fushia to catch, successfully. "It's your teacher, Miss Hanase!" Her mother hissed quietly, before she ducked into the kitchen, to prepare dinner.
Fushia damn nearly dropped the phone in shock, before she timidly held it up to her ear.
"Hello?" She said, calming herself down. She waited to here what Miss Hanase had too say. It was actually probably just something to do with homework….or maybe it had something to do with her playing DS during class.
"Come to the school in exactly one hour, I will meet you in the gym," Miss Hanase said quickly, before she hung up. Fushia nearly dropped the phone again.
"WHAT!!??!??" She yelled into the phone, before she growled, and hung up the phone on her end. She put the phone down, and quickly rushed up to her room, to mill things over.
Okay, so her teacher had just told to meet her at school, at exactly, um, do the maths, its six thirty right now. So her teacher had told her to meet her, at school, at seven thirty. Fushia was officially freaked. What kind of teacher wants to meet a student at night?
But Fushia was too tough to let Miss Hanase's slight creepiness get to her, so, instead, she spent the next hour practising combat moves, in her room. She glanced at the bedside table, and saw a new alarm clock there. This alarm was a wolf, so she defiantly wouldn't be stupid, and ruin this one. She loved wolves.
Finally, at about seven twenty, Fushia figured it would be a good time to go to the school. She rather not go there, of course, but she thought that since Miss Hanase's voice over the phone had no threat in it, she might as well go and see what she wanted to say.
"SEE YA GUYS, I'M GOING FOR A QUICK WALK!!!" Fushia yelled, as she walked out the front door. She was still wearing the clothes she had worn to school, except now she had a hoodie on as well. She stuffed her hands into her pockets quickly, as she began to jog quickly down the street. That was when she noticed that Benny was also walking out of his house. He was wearing the same outfit he had worn to school as well. He hadn't bothered with a jacket though, and instead of wearing sneakers on his feet, he wore plain, white slippers.
"Benny?" Fushia said, a little confused. What was Benny doing, going for a walk at this hour? Unless….Miss Hanase had called him too.
"Fushia…Weird….Hey, did Miss Hanase call you too?" Benny asked, his eyebrows raised, and his face showing one of complete and utter confusion. Fushia simply nodded, and she rolled up her left sleeve, to glance at her watch. Seven twenty four. She had six minutes to get there. And it seemed Benny did too.
The pair walked silently, both sucked into their own thoughts, as they power walked towards Terrascore High. Fushia glanced at her watch every now and again, making sure that they weren't late. Eventually, at seven twenty eight, they walked through the school's iron gates.
"Hey, is that…..Chen-Chi?" Benny asked, pointing to a figure waiting outside the gym. Fushia squinted for a moment, before she nodded. The figure saw them, and waved. They were wearing an orange, Chinese top, with black and red spirals on it. They had red, Capri pants on as well.
"Yep, that is defiantly Chen-Chi," Fushia replied, smiling, and waving back at Chen-Chi. They rushed over to her, before they noticed someone else leaning against the wall. Avai was here to. She was wearing the same outfit she had worn to school, except now her hair was tied back into a high pony tail.
"Why are you here? Did Miss Hanase call you as well?" Benny asked, completely lost. Chen-Chi nodded, and turned her head to glare at Avai for a single moment.
"Miss Hanase did call me here, and apparently, she called Avai here to," Chen-Chi hissed. Avai turned her head, to glare back at Chen-Chi, her mouth pulled into an angry grimace. Fushia just shook her head, and glanced at her watch, and realised that they had just one minute left until seven thirty.
And then the temperature dropped dramatically.
"And look who else is here," Chen-Chi muttered, rolling her eyes, and pointing up. Kadoku Futeshima, was sitting on the roof, staring at the stars. The area around the school was freezing cold. Fushia was really glad she had worn a hoodie. She stuffed her hands deeper into her pockets, as she glanced at her watch. Five seconds left. Four. Three. Two. One.
And then the doors opened.
The lights were lit in the gym, even though they seemed dimmer than usual. As Fushia walked in, she saw Miss Hanase standing on the stage, at the front of the gym. The stage was used for performances, and dance class. Miss Hanase was simply standing there, looking at them, a small smile on her face.
"Welcome, I'm glad you could make it," Miss Hanase said cheerfully. She was so relaxed, so calm, so serene. Fushia, however, was feeling impatient. She wanted to know why the hell she had been told to get her butt to the school at this hour. She stared at Miss Hanase, her head tilted to the side.
However, some were even more impatient. Some were more than annoyed at being brought to the school at this hour. Some people like Chen-Chi, wanted to go home.
"OKAY, MISS HANASE, WHY THE HECK DID YOU CALL US HERE AT THIS HOUR!!" Chen-Chi yelled loudly. When Chen-Chi yelled, Avai clenched her fists tightly. Miss Hanase just smiled, and cocked her head to the side, much like Fushia.
"Oh, yes, I called you here to explain something. Something very important. I'm just not to sure how to tell you," Miss Hanase explained, waving her arms about like someone who was public speaking. Chen-Chi made a 'tch' noise, and calmed down, waiting for Miss Hanase to explain things. Avai, however, thought it was the appropriate time to speak.
"Listen, Teach, I don't need you to bloody explain what's going on, because I know!!" Avai hissed angrily, glaring daggers at Miss Hanase. However, Miss Hanase seemed unfazed.
"Avai, calm down, you aren't the only one who knows. Unfortunately, Fushia, Benny, and Chen-Chi are entirely clueless," Miss Hanase chuckled. Chen-Chi looked like she could explode with anger at being called clueless. Benny look a bit hurt, and offended. Fushia just made a 'clueless' face, and nodded.
"YOU KNOW WHAT, I AM ENTIRELY CLUELESS!! SO WHY DON'T YOU JUST EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN THE SIMPLEST, AND FASTEST WAY POSSIBLE!!" Fushia yelled, her voice echoing around the hall. Everyone stared at her, including Miss Hanase, before she smiled.
"You sure you want the quick and easy explanation as to why I called you here?" Miss Hanase asked, an eyebrow raised. Suddenly, Kadoku stepped forward, frowning.
"Yes, she does, and I do to, because I don't wish to stay here much longer," He said, his voice colder, and sharper than icicles. Everyone stared at him for a moment, before Miss Hanase smirked, looking smug.
"Very well then," She said, before she took a deep breath. She glanced over them all before she let out a sigh. Fushia stared at her impatiently.
"You are all warriors of Light, with Super powers, and you have been chosen to fight The Warriors of Darkness, and save the world, before they can destroy it with their corrupted, vile ways," Miss Hanase explained quickly, a small smile spreading across her face. "You have a special hidden warrior within your soul, whose powers you can harness whenever you wish. You're powers have also been leaking out for years."
"ARE YOU FUCKED IN THE HEAD OR SOMETHING!!" Chen-Chi yelled.
"Oh my God," Benny whispered.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Avai muttered.
"……" No sound came from Kadoku's mouth.
Everyone turned to Fushia, who was staring at the ground. Her fists were clenched into tight, little balls, and she stood with her head hung. She took a deep breath. Miss Hanase raised an eyebrow.
"Are you alright, Fushia?" She asked, worried. Everyone was staring at Fushia, waiting to hear her response.
Suddenly, Fushia raised her head, her fists still clenched, and she glared at Miss Hanase.
"IS THAT THE BLOODY REASON I KEEP BREAKING MY DAMNED ALARM CLOCK EVERY FREAKIN MORNING!!"
