Entry 11

06-14-08

So after about two or three months, I'm finally going to post another entry. Though this time it's about the changes.

We go in and start learning about how some of the available tactics have changed a bit, we also learn that we all have an ability to get our second wind into a fight back, but only divine people (Paladins and Clerics) can heal over to a certain extent of full energy. As we learn more about our classes and through our training, Mr. Quick is no longer our trainer. I don't know who it is, but he's a guy with no legs (more like a floating cloud like thing beneath him or mist, yeah, mist. That's a better description), and Kroka and Q seem to know who he is.

As we first got down there, our (Q, Daijin, Kroka, and I) pull-downs to Cabal automatically happened and we find out that pull-downs workdifferently. But at least we got the pull-downs. Tok is back with mom, though apparently something about that was embarrassing, but now every time he comes in helmet forma giant cross come from the forehead of the helmetand well, I'm sorry, that's pretty damn funny, even if you can only imagine it as a mental image. A huge cross coming out of someone's forehead, come on! Ah, anyway, a lot of the stuff from our last adventure at least carried on (I didn't write about that, but that was when Soul was with us) and Glory's back in my mind too, and apparently her crystal is kind of like a part of my skull if that makes any sense.

Anyway, after we all trained for our classes, Q started to get us ready for the outside world. She bought a load of stuff, popped it into her ring, and then woke up. Kroka, Angel, Rose, Daijin, and I stayed for a bit, while Kroka wanted to do a real fight, we decided to do a practice fight since the dunjon was offering it like a limited time deal thing. So we get into our first practice fight, it's against five other halfling slingers (and I must say the announcer for our battle is not very enthusiastic at all, I miss Mr. Quick). We battle, and surprisingly it wasn't as hard as I was dreading it as I get used to my new abilities. Kroka seemed extremely good with his bow. So that battle ended, and because it was practice we got nothing from it. I will say I am extremely happy with my spear, as it made its point on how powerful it is during the battle.

So Kroka manages to convince us to take on a real battle, and so we did. This time it was kobold slingers, wholiked to seem to take a direct tactic approach when it take to their slingshots. But we ended up slaying them, and gaining 4 gold pieces each and some new experience. That was when we woke up. To be continued...
