Truth Hurts
The truth hurts
The unending torment
That shadows me
Every night I lie awake
Thinking about you
And what stupid thing
You did today
So funny and sweet
I laugh with you
But you won't ever
Love me like I
Love you
Soft curly hair
Gentle eyes
Bright pools of blue
Soothing voice
No one has
The same as you
Seeing you is
The best part of my day
It helps me forget
My sorrows
And chases the pain away
But as soon as you
Are out of my sight
My bright summer day
Turns to merciless night
The sun goes away
It's following you
Shadows surround me
My heart screams
For you, only you
You don't love me
The truth hurts
And this is just too true
