I love rain, as you probably know already~ For school, we had freedom to write about something in nature, so of course you can guess what my subject was.

Not sure if it's as good as some of my others, but I still like it.

Smell of Rain

Sweet smell,

Sweetest sound,

Dripping off the

leaves of trees;

Lovely sight,

All around,

Can’t you feel it

like a breeze?

Drops caress

the tender earth,

like a blanket

of sweet myrrh.

Unique scent

All its own

(Depending where you are,

you know)

Out far from

the reach of man,

A certain smell will

rise from land –

Damp earth

Coated trees

Moisture hangs

Sprinkled weeds

Sunning bugs

all aglow

This is what

the country shows.
