Forever Midnight

My first FictionPress attempt. Umm, what can I say, this really isn't as easy as FanFiction.

(flashback) I strode across the room, wondering which of the family I was holding hostage to kill first, There was the Grandmother, the Mother, the Father, twin girls and a baby boy. I had quite a dilemma on my hands, I needed to form an order of killing to maximize the suffering of each one of the family members. I considered killing one of the girls first, her twin would feel so much pain and anguish that she would beg to die, I wouldn't kill her, she would be mine, the others would be so envious of my little star. I ordered the family to the master bedroom, chained the family to various items of furniture so that they couldn't move. I hauled the twins off into the adjoined bathroom and locked the door.

“Now,” I said about to evaluate which of the girls would be my little star. “What are your names?”

“Ebony and Ivory” one of the girls said.

“Such pretty names.” I crooned, “I need to ask you a few questions.” I continued, my voice soft and even.

“How old are you girls?” I asked.

“We're seven.” The other girl said, clearly mortified.

“Well, I'm not going to lie to you, only one of you will survive this ok? well, the one that dies will be determined by how you answer these questions, so, of you wish to live, you'll have to come with me.” I stated, feeling a strange feeling of regret that I had to kill one of them. No matter, however regrettable, it must be done I suppose.

(Present) I shook my head to clear it, those memories were too painful for me to try to remember, after that I took Ebony as my little star and introduced her to my world, the only world I had ever known, I had been taken from my family in the same fashion as Ebony except I was only very young at the time, consequently I had no knowledge of the world outside of the cult. Ebony had been rather co-operative so I had no reason not to be proud of her, my shining light in the never ending midnight. Needless to say no-one was more surprised than I when she took her own life at the tender age of ten. As a punishment for being so careless and letting my star die I was exiled. Which brings me to now. Now possessions, assets or money and expected to survive in a world I never even knew existed. I had never been told of this strange place. My entire existence was based on the cult, which I was so ignorant of. Stupid, stupid Ella.

Yeah, that's right. She killed, she sacrificed and then she found out her entire existence was a lie. The next chapter will be posted after 3 reviews.
