Just Like The Stars

Though the stars are far apart,

They’re always there at night,

Shining bright up in the sky,

So beautiful in sight…

Seeming lonely, ever still,

But lighting up the sky,

Sometimes fading as they fall,

In the blink of an eye…

Like a shooting star above

And just as fast, he fell,

Rushing quickly towards the light,

Forgetting time will tell…

Solitude had made him blind;

He made a dull mistake,

Moving forward, just too close,

Pushing for his own sake…

Still he looks up at the stars,

Just knowing deep inside,

The one he found he’ll wait for,

Impatience set aside.
