The Forest of the Gods

A girl picking berries sees a falcon and follows it into the forest. There she meets a forest god and finds out about a horrible plot to kill the forest and all the creatures it houses.

Fallen Angel

A winged girl flying in a storm is injured and falls to the ground. She’s found by a band of misfit teens in a town that it gripped in the thralls of a crazed religious fanatic that accuse the kids of witch craft and is forever trying to “purge” the demon form their souls by any means possible. The kids take her in and hide her fearing for the girl’s life, they teach her to fly again and she teaches them that there is still good in the world. It’s only a matter of a leap of faith.

In the end she finds that she must choose one world to live in, and stay there forever, never to see the other three again.

I used to know this girl

I high school senior sits behind this girl everyday on the bus and he watches the bruise heal and reappear on her exposed skin. Finally her confronts her and when she tell him to bugger off he follows her home. What he finds changes the way he looks at the world forever. She is a werewolf, and she is in love with a vampire that loves her back. The bruises are from her feeding him, and he’s in a horrid straight because he knows it’s killing her. There is also a crazy girl child whose species and powers are unknown and a handful of rather bothersome meddling humans.

Nami

Nami is a pretty little thing, with black eyes and snow white hair. She’s long and lean and has two great white wings sprouting from her shoulder blades. She was born and is kept in an underground government facility without ever knowing the world above, but for the stories her mother used to whisper to her late at night. When the opportunity comes, Nami escapes and is on the run, determined to never have her wings clipped again and never have another experiment performed on her.

The Neko Assassin

A young bed warm in a rich noble’s house is said to be one of the best slave girls in the city. She is quite and well spoken and performs her duties well. One night when she goes to her master room, ready for her nightly duties she find a neko man there with a sword in his gloved hand and her master dead in his bed. A young girl taking a personal vacation to her family’s camp goes kayaking every morning before the sun burn the fog off the water. She goes to the side of the lake that has no people and lots of wild life and watches the sun raise every morning without fail. She doesn’t know that he watches her sip her thermos of coffee, with the early morning light caresses her face and hair every morning without fail. Until that is, he get up the nerve to approach her, coming up from below the water’s surface, and bumping gently against the boat. She looks over the edge and gasps; she’d never seen a real merman before.

The Prince and the Gypsy

A prince out riding in his father’s forest comes across two children picking black berries. One of the guards yell that they are stealing and two more move to take the kids. A girl steps out of the trees and while the children run she yells at the men. The prince is astounded; nobody has ever talked to him in such away. Before the guards can grab her she disappears in the forest. Later the prince takes to riding alone, searching for her.

The Story of a Girl

In a very proper kingdom, where men bow to the royal families and women wear their hair up, covered and keep the eyes downcast at the hem of their skirts the lives a young prince. Being the younger son he likes to ride through the village and be bowed and curtsied at. It’s the only thing he knows. He asked the common villager polite questions and they give him friendly polite answers and the world is very proper.

In a little two room cottage just outside the village there lives a girl and she likes to ride into the village to visit with a couple of friends every so often. She mounts her horse with her free hair hanging loosely to her waist and wears her favorite pair of breeches. Lavania is not a proper girl. And she picks a day to visit on the same day the prince decides to go riding.

The prince is having a very polite conversation with a very polite young lady shelling peas when the sound of pounding of hooves makes them all look up. A girl at a full gallop and riding bare back jumps the rock wall and pulled her horse up into a rear. She laughs loudly and slides from the horses’ back, not caring that her feet are bare. The prince stairs at her, never seeing anything like her and she looks at him back, staring him straight in the eyes.

Fireflies

A small group of girls that are fighters for hire, they are all young and all pretty and nobody knows much about them. They call themselves the fireflies. Alex is the best in the group. The most amazing, and as she watches her young partner Kay practice she whispers. “Don’t worry Kay, I will always protect you.”

The House

Mikel was trained by the FBI and then the CIA and even did some work with the Secret Service. There are few secrets of this nation that he doesn’t know about. Three tunnels lead to the cave and every once in a very long time someone from our world finds one. Finds the masquerade and is let into a world beyond their wildest dreams.

A girl with her whole world falling apart goes for a walk in the woods and gets lost. She finds a place that takes her breath away, the trees are huge, and the ground is covered with the greenest moss she’s ever seen. Nestled in the moss she sees a glint of gold and she picks it up. It’s a golden mask, and on the inside is inscribed. “To Keara Valdez. My best friend in this world and the next. Love me forever, your partner in crime, Christian.” She suddenly realizes she here music and walks toward the cave curious.

During the party she meets a masked man and she find happiness for the first time in years, there with the pretty ladies and there genteel men. And there she finds the power to save their world and maybe even finds a place to call her very own.

The Darkness
