Fire

Everyone craves it: a
burning
concupiscent
passionate
flame which gives
warmth
and satisfies a
need
that we didn’t know we had.

Sometimes others are
jealous
of the fire
of the
warmth
of the
wood.
They are selfish and
try
to take the
wood
but it burns them.

Sometimes the fire
wasn’t
a fire at all. It just
looked
like a fire and
felt
like a fire.
And once you know that it’s
not
a fire, it’s not that
warm
anymore.
