Don't let the title fool you, this IS about leaving someone behind. A friend of mine fell into some bad stuff online, and as much as I wanted to help, they wouldn't let me, and since they now hate me, sadly, I left them behind.

No Man Left behind:
Not to be inconsiderate,
Nor to be selfish and crude,
But the fallen are done,
This shouldn't be misconstrued.
Some do take the wrong path,
Some do fall behind,
But to say "No man left behind" is foolish,
Especially when everyone is struck blind.
A terrible feeling, thrown in at will.
One time, that's all, and time stood still.
A life was lost, too torn up to mend.
Be careful whom you say you'll help to the end.
Cause that can be time poorly spent,
And time never to be spent again.
