Author's Notes: Our teacher gave us some 'senses' to write about. The words in italics are what he told us to write about. See if you can guess what some of them are about.

Textures you find creepy

The rough edges catch the fabric, dragging threads to and fro. The peeling away of dead, yellow skin flaking as it falls to the floor. The tingling disgust of soft pulling, the edges grabbing desperately. But, the savior of bright, pink skin beneath. Unblemished and perfect.

Smells that you find repulsive

The cloying scent that sticks in the back of your throat, the smell trying to hide the chemical taste. The horror of walking through a cloud in the hallways, tasting and smelling all at the same time. Your nostrils twitch with repressed explosions, the cavities filling with mucus.

Sounds that remind you of being in love

The rumbling purr, a rattling sound that vibrates through your chest. The sleepy look, the contented murr, all worth giving up movement for the sake of the cat.

A taste that you love

The taste of artificially engineered strawberries, such as milkshakes and chocolate candy fillings. For in real life, strawberries taste like nothing but as enhancers they are sweet and pungent, filling your mouth like pink ecstasy.

Smells that remind you of a season

Walking outside in the biting winter air I take a breath and my nostrils are free. No mucus clogs them for it is frozen and no troublesome snifflings plague me. My nose is free to smell all the smells of winter. Even though there are none but being able to breathe is always nice.
