X.X.X

It's late and I can't sleep
Tongue hurts from counting sheep
Shadows take form and I see spots
Close my eyes and see white dots
The bed's too hot and the air's too cold
I'd drink warm milk but I'm a little too old
Blinking at the ceiling doesn't help at all
And I keep thinking I'm being made fun of by the wall
So I growl and cover my eyes
Biting my lip with a silent, "why?"
It won't change, nothing helps
And when I begin to doze my roommate yelps
My eyes are wide open and begin to sting
So I try to close them and maybe sing
Nothing helps, I'll never sleep
I'll never dream again so deep
It's twilight and I begin to drool
Down my chin it forms a pool
My eyes close and I grin
Only for my stupid alarm clock to ring

X.X.X

Sheesh. I don't even have a roommate!
