When a person gets sent away, like for example, they move for some reason or perhaps Child Services comes along and picks up a family and sends them far away—like across the bay—would you really expect to see this person again? When you’ve been praying, wishing, and hoping for about six months that they’ll go away and leave you alone permanently. And when that finally happens you’re euphoric and a tad bit guilty for wishing they’d leave, but who cares since they’re gone, right? After something like that any normal person wouldn’t expect that person to come back into their life.
But I’m no ordinary person; if anything I live a life full of irony, more so than most. One thing happens, and the characters thinks it’ll go one way—that’ll be me—but in fact it goes a different way entirely that could have been foreseen by an audience—my friends. Normally I’d say I’m deranged but even my friends think that I’m cursed or something because this type of thing only happens in movies. And if there was some sort of romantic exchange between the two of us, then it might make a good romantic comedy movie, but since there isn’t any mutual feeling between us it’s just a really really sad story.
My point is he came back. Now that he’s back my life has been hell … and I’ve been enjoying it way too much.
