This is written from a prompt that I found on a thread in the NaNoWriMo forums. Prompt is copyright to whoever wrote it on there; writing it copyrighted to me. DO NOT STEAL IT.

“Pardon me if I am being obtrusive, but is that your dragon on City Hall?”

I glanced up from my bag, still not having found what I was looking for. “Damn dragon,” I muttered under my breath. To the man who had spoken to me, I said, “Um, no, sorry. I don’t know whose dragon that is.”

“Ah, okay. Sorry to bother you.”

I turned my back to him and started digging through my bag again. “Aha!” I exclaimed finally. I pulled out a tiny metal flute and put my mouth to it.

Sweet melodies emerged, my fingers flying over the notes. I tried to slow down my playing, but I was frantically trying to call the dragon’s attention. After what seemed like ages of odd stares from passersby and one slip up in my tune, Halidon turned his attention to me. “Good dragon...” I murmured. “Come on, you really don’t want to cause any trouble now do you?”

Halidon slowly shook his head and climbed down from the building, coming to stand in front of me in the road. “I just wanted to sing,” he tried to explain to me.

I rolled my eyes. “Sing back at the cave, why don’t you? It’s much less disturbing to people there.”

“But Jason! You are the only one there to hear my beautiful voice.”

“Exactly. Now, march!” I commanded, pointing in the direction of our mountain home. “You are so grounded.”

Thoughts? Comments? Not really suggestions, I don’t think... Don’t really need any since this was just for fun. XD Although, any of my prompts you happen to see on here that are story potential, let me know. Expanding on one would be fun. ^^
