This is a poem I had to write for school…I thought it turned out ok so I put it on here…R&R please! Enjoy!

Black

What is black?

Black is the cloud before the storm

Black is cold, the absence of warm

Black is the predator in the night

The panther's dark pelt

The crow's wings in flight

Black is night sky speckled with stars

Black is the road on which drive cars

The feeling of black is the strangest thing

It's the void between nightmare and sweet dream

Black is deep fear

And darkest delight

Black is peace

And the toughest fight

Black is the strange blessing we get after day

It cools our minds, and chases memories away

Black is the shadow behind woman and man

I can't fully explain it

But I've done the best that I can
