"This…totally bites." Tay dropped to the floor in one smooth motion. She can't accept the results of what had just happened.
"Which part? That the school is hiding such an incredibly delicate and dark matter, we could have been stuck in the basement for life, or that Anjo could have been seriously hurt?" Beth said in a rather, sour way.
"What? None of it, what bites is that you wouldn't let me touch that wand!" Tay started to pout again.
"Are you okay Anjo?" Bola was rubbing Anjo's back; both of them were significantly unstable.
"I think…I'll be fine. I just need to regain myself. I think it was all too much for me. I still have no idea what happened…" Anjo rubbed her face as Tay fell asleep like usual.
"I think everyone should just go home today and rest. We can regroup and discuss what happened today, tomorrow." Tay flashed opened her eyes and picked up Shadow while starting to walk away briskly.
"Why is she in such a hurry?" Beth mouthed out loud. Tay glanced back and saw Beth had placed one hand on her hip, and had grasped onto Riel's hand with her free one. Beth's face had quickly turned from her usual skin tone, to beat red and looked away from Riel. Riel's face was slightly blushing, and he glanced at her with a grin.
Bola was aiding Anjo back home, by lending her a shoulder. Anjo didn't seem so bad…and it didn't look like to Tay that she knew… what Tay just understood while taking that nap.
"Sorry Riel, but I should really check what's going on with that foolish girl." Tay heard Beth say, and the first thought that came to Tay's mind was -Run as fast as you can Tay, and DO NOT look back!-
"It's alright, I'll see you tomorrow." Riel replied in a smoothing voice. As such Tay looked back from reflex on the unusual way Riel just talked. She saw a scene she wished she hadn't. Beth and Riel gave each other a passionate kiss good bye.
–and this is why I did not want to look! Yuck, it's like from a romance movie. - Tay stuck out her tongue in disgust and was about to start running.
"Wait, Tay!" Beth came jogging up to Tay. –Shoot, I didn't make it in time.- Tay started to whimper a bit to herself.
"What is it Beth?" Tay figured what's done is done; she'll just have to make this conversation short so she could leave.
"Well quite bluntly, I really didn't want to come after you. However, I just want you to know, if there is even the tiniest piece of information you know and I don't. You had better tell me now." Tay sighed, and rubbed her eyes in distress. She held up her index finger, motioning 'just one second'.
"Tay! Are you alright?" Basil had come running up to the two of them and broke down to a walk once close enough.
"I'm fine, thanks Basil." Beth looked at Tay with a bit of shock. She appeared to be a bit surprised to see that Tay had noticed Basil coming, when she hadn't. Beth smirked a bit at that.
"So? What is it you know Tay?" Beth wasn't letting anything sidetrack her from the answer to her question. Beth wanted to know what was going on.
"I don't know what I know…but what I do know, is that you're wasting my time at the moment." Tay slipped her hand into her pocket and reached for a stone.
"What?! That is incredibly uncouth of you Tay! You know something don't you? What is it?!" Beth had gotten aggravated, which was exactly what Tay wanted. The stone in her pocket started to heat up.
"Tay…what has gotten into you?" Basil was sincerely concerned for Tay. Tay knew she was acting different then usual, by being so unsociable and rude.
"I know I'm acting weird. It's just that…I remembered…everything." Tay looked up at Basil, and at Beth. She had known there was something she was forgetting before, it was a dream.
"I can't explain right now because I don't want to. So leave me alone." Tay answered stubbornly and shoved Beth aside. As Tay was walking past Basil she looked up at him with apologetic eyes.
"Tay, you know something and I'm not letting you go until you tell me what's going on! What exactly did you remember?!" Beth started to chant a spell. Tay turned around and smiled, her eyes gleaming from her scheme being completed.
"I remembered those symbols from the basement. I've been seeing them all my life. I've been seeing them in my dreams… in Anjo's dreams." Beth and Basil's eyes grew confused. They had no idea, what Tay had exactly meant.
The rock was burning hot, Tay's whole body turned red and she was transported away. The only thing she left behind was a red cloud of sand particles from the stone.
"Damn, she escaped with a teleporting rock. I should have known. The angrier I was, the happier she got." Beth and Basil stared at the spot where Tay used to stand, thought of whether to go after her, and where she would have teleported to.
"'Teleporting rocks…they absorb an emotion as fuel, once they get enough of that emotion they teleport whatever is directly in contact with it away.'" –I wonder when I learned this, - Tay thought. She looked down at her hands and thought back to the scene with Beth and Basil. For the first time she wasn't sure if what she did was the right thing or not. Perhaps she thought, she should have just told Beth and Basil what she saw.
"Tay, are you alright?" This voice wasn't so much a voice. This was more so, a feeling of your mind whispering thoughts to you, instead of you whispering thoughts to yourself. Tay's bracelets started to glow along with Shadow's collar. A black mist covered around Shadow until he reappeared; a full grown, black as night wolf.
"Shadow, you're finally grown up. Right when I need you too." Tay bent down and hugged him; he was so much bigger than before. He used to be as high as mid way up her calf, now he's up to her waist.
"Tay, what did you see that's making you act like this? I won't tell anyone." Shadow licked Tay's cheek and nuzzled her arm a bit as his tail wagged back and forth. Shadow can't speak, so she thought it would be safe to tell Shadow at least.
"I think I saw Anjo's past. She was…one of the explorers who ruled the power of white magic, but that's not all."
