The singing in my ears
tells me "message understood"
but it's not.
It's not.
Silence is the ambiguous message
and I asked you to clarify
a thousand times (or more).
You closed your ears, your eyes,
your lips
to guilt, to shame, to decency.
Abandoned, lost -
You never acknowledged my whispers.
You have a right to your decisions,
opinions and actions, dear -
but no one has the right to be cruel.
