Slowly the vines wound its way through me
Grasping deeper and deeper without my knowledge
Growing in strength as it clung to my soul
And imbedded its way into every part of my being.

Green with life
Red with passion
The vines thread through my body
They burst from under my toe nails
And inch their way out my fingertips.
Even when I'm unaware of it
They grow.

They are the love I have for every friend
With the passion I hold for few.
I never realized how strong they grew within me
Around ever artery, vein, and capillaries.
Such a tight woven patter under the layers of y skin
So that my love for them surrounds me always.
