Buzzing like a fan and ticking,
like an educational film,
Shallow as gasoline pools; full like a
sewer drain brimming with sidewalk rains
with driven filters and rotting leaves:
full of waste and poison;
I was disillusioned, by the only vestige
my father will ever have -
blessed with bowing Mary and silk flowers.
