Don’t Hate Me

Don’t hate me because I’m different,

don’t hate me for being me.

I’m sorry that I dress odd, and have my hair blue as the sea.

Don’t hate me because I’m not beautiful,

I’m fine just the way I am.

I may not be the thinnest of have the best body,

but my friends accept me, no matter what I look like.

Don’t hate me because my personality is different,

I’m not a stuck up prude like you.

Don’t hate me because I am smart,

I’ve worked hard to get where I am.

Don’t hate me because my music is loud,

Your ears are too good.

Don’t hate me because I get in mosh pits,

I like to have fun.

But most of all,

Don’t hate me for me.

I don’t unfairly judge you,

Why must you do that to me?
