I stared up at the shining moon

The clouds were moving in

A soft breeze ran through the trees

My thoughts wondering aimlessly

I was in a world where I was left to fend for myself

There would be no protector

And at this time there was no savior

I was left to grow strong on my own

I felt a rain drop touch my cheek

It was starting to rain

And soon, it was pouring

The sound of the rain around me

The wind picking up

The storm had come

Still as I stood the rain would still fall

In the night, this night, the rain would still fall

The clouds moved over to cover the moon

Hiding its light from my view

I did not look away though

The moon’s light would one day guide me

Like the suns raise would guide me by day

The moon guided me by night

Down an endless road that would one day break

A bridge to each path of my life

I could choose to stray away

But I could not turn back

No, that was an option I didn’t have

The rain fell harder

The wind blowing relentlessly through the howling trees

All animals were gone now

But they would return

The rain hit my face, water running down my body

I could hear the rain, the puddles forming on the ground

It was peaceful

But this was not a peaceful world

We were tossed here with no aim in life

Few were given gifts

Even fewer were able to truly use those gifts

I could hear the music of the rain and the thunder

The lightning flashed in the sky

How normal was this?

The rain, the storm, the sun and the moon

They were all normal

All natural

The lights of the buildings, the cars engines, the houses we lived in

They were not

We created them did we not?

Yes, we did

They were not natural

They were wrong

The did not belong there

Yet there they were

The rain fell harder blocking any further thoughts

The lightning flashed

The thunder roared

How I loved the storm to block out all the worlds lies

This was the world today
