Drifting, drifting

Down the river of life

Nothing stays the same

Few precious things remain

-

This way and that way

No matter how much you pray

We'll all eventually go

Separate ways someday

-

At present, parting is tough

Promise to keep in touch

Comforting lies are a must

Though they don't mean much

-

No plans for the movie or mall

On the phone, not a single call

The past seems so easy to forget

There is no time for regret

-

Look through the old scrapbook

At all the pictures we took

Smiling, we were so happy then

Why did it have to end?

-

Never forget the memories we shared

Never forget that we once cared

Even if we never meet again

I'm still glad we were friends
