Twisted Tender
Author:

Tornadoes for some reason just take my breathe away, and are a strange and surreal source of inspiration. While this short poem is an attempt at giving respect to one of the world's most deadly natural disasters, it doesn't do their immense power justice.

Twisted Tender:

Winds rushing,
Hearts gushing,
With the sorrows of a twisted tragedy.

Our lives and our pride,
All subside,
To the breath of a storm enraged.

The debris and the dark,
The electrical sparks,
A home under siege.
Twisted tender,
By the strength of the ferocious God
Of natural disasters.
