I went to meet you today.

It is so messed up with you gone,

We feel you close and wait for news.

There is shooting all around you

And nobody knows when it'll stop.

You are scared that'll you'll never seen us,

How will we know if you are hurt?

Standing at the window, the night is black.

Are you looking at the same sky as me?

The wind whistles as the bullets explode.

One world is calm and safe,

The other is one of death.

How can we be so separated?

Why did you go?

Will you come back?

It seems like forever

That you've been gone.

I wish I could hear your voice.

We all love you,

and miss you so.

Please come home?

It is all over now

They will return.

They were all sent home.

We pass those on the streets,

Hungry and ill, cold and alone.

We will see you soon.

I went to meet you today.

The war ended and you were back,

I'm not sure of the reasons of the war,

You were coming home safe.

The sky was light and happiness was out

I went to meet you today,

But you never showed.
