Separate me

Expose my tender innards to

The sandpaper grain

Of your hypocritical

Megalomaniacal dreams

Your drama mask persona

Riding on the back of

Alcoholic delusion and

Child’s play

Anger’s poison fills my veins at

The sound of your name

The sight of her pain

The temptation to show you how

You’ve put tears in her eyes

Filled her back with knives

Unbearable

Those eggshells you’re trampling

The remnants of devotion

Crushed beneath your

Heel of ignorance

Oh if I could

Rip that self-obtained halo

From your head

Expose the horns that held it

Oh so carefully in place

Break that fun-house mirror that

You trust so much

Its whispered lullaby

An outright lie

So go ahead

Take your shard-metal and

Swallow it whole

The holes in you match well with

The collar of captivity around your neck

The whip around your waist

I’ll sit here and wither from

Fury under Calms façade

While you atrophy

Under falsehood and unknown loss

Wither, wretch

I’ll smile as you fade.
