It's like you're not living
It's like you're not living
You're just mimicking
You don't seem to think yourself,
Just repeating someone else
You're always standing there, reading from scripts in class
Why cannot you try to stand on your own two feet?
You're like a copy machine running out of paper
Why cannot you show the world who you want to be?
Why is it that, whenever you're talking to classmates, you seem to read a draft we cannot see?
It's like you're not living
What would happen, if someone took away your "script"?
Would you be like an actor who hadn't practiced?
Would you be able to keep that exaggerated plastic smile on?
Why cannot you stand up and be you, stop pretending, and just chill?
You're like a copy machine running out of paper
Why cannot you show the world who you want to be?
Every time you're laughing, it seems overdone, every time you're complaining, it seems overdone
It's like you're not living
I tried to give you what I could give,
I tried to show you that I cared
But instead of telling me straight out it wasn't gonna work, you did what you always do
The plastic smile, the false, empty words,
the escaping attitude,
never telling what you could do to make it all better
it's like you're not living
And I know I waste my life with thinking of you any longer
